Letting Go and Letting God

This is the first time that I have attended a Pilgrimage.  I really don’t know what to expect of it and what I should be doing. I just wanted to see the different churches and well, I will admit to get an easy way to Quezon for the MMC conference.

Little did I know that this is God’s way of preparing me for the conference and for what is in store after the conference.

Most of us admit that we have crosses and hardship that we are carrying. The same way Jesus carried His cross for us. But how exactly do we carry our cross? Do we carry it with Jesus? Do we let Him carry most of it? Or do we beg the Lord to cut down our crosses to make it easier for us?

Often times, we complain first and see that these challenges that come before us are to just simply rack our minds off and give us problems to solve. Often than not, we always cry out to the Lord “Can I overcome this challenge?” And the Lord says to us, “Yes you can.” But as stubborn as we are, we say WE CANT, WE CANT. We say we lift it up to You Lord but then we worry about what will happen next, what should I do. We worry so much about what we can do that we forget to let God do His works for us. We are so afraid that the challenges will break us that we forget to let God allow us to be strong. We underestimate our Jesus can make a way for us. Instead of surrendering and having faith, we hold on to the challenges as if it is only us who can make a way. And when we feel that we did everything but still is under the pitsand of these trials, we blame the Lord. We blame Him for giving us these crosses that we bear. We question why we had to go thru these situations.

In whatever circumstances we are in, we must see beyond the badness of the situation. We must see beyond the hurt, the burden and the heaviness of these crosses. You see the Lord doesn’t give us anything that will not do us good. He won’t give us anything that we cannot handle. In reality, the Lord carries most of our crosses if we only learn to LET GO and LET GOD.

In every aspect our life that we say, WE CANNOT, the LORD as soft as His voice can whisper will always say WE CAN, TRUST ME. When we say there is NO HOPE, the Lord always says and pushes to still HOPE. When we says I am weak because of this, the LORD says, you are STRONG for I am with you.

This is the message of the Lord to me during this Pilrgimage, that in whatever we do and whatever situation we are, always have the FAITH, the HOPE and THE LOVE that the Lord will never forsake us nor leave us astray. That in times of our weaknesses we are at our strongest. That in times were we feel that our world crumbles, there is a GREAT GOD who says have FAITH in me, for I will carry you and you will be strong. For I am bigger than your crosses.

The Lord has carried His cross because of us and has died in the cross for us. What else can HE NOT DO FOR us. As you look at the crucifix, you will know that the cross he was nailed upon is how big His love is for us.

So how will you carry your cross?

Carry it with HOPE, FAITH and LOVE. For Jesus is our Hope, He is our FAITH, and HE is LOVE.

Let go of these crosses and LET GOD carry it with you.
