Attached is a press release that we issued today in reply to a front page story that appeared in today`s issue of the Philippines Daily Inquirer ("Ricky Reyes, Couples Faction Back Villar"). Both the headline and the story give the impression that Couples for Christ is endorsing a presidential candidate, although it does mention that it is the "CFC faction" of Foundation for Family and Life led by Frank Padilla that is doing the endorsing.
In order to clear up the issue and to emphasize that CFC is remaining non-partisan in this elections, CFC has taken the necessary step of issuing this press release.
Please read this carefully, in conjunction with the earlier memo "Exercising Our Sacred Right" that was released a few days ago, together with the Guidelines for the May 10 Elections.
