"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
This is what inspired our X-factor event - an inspiration that brought out Christ in each and every one of us. Before I start my sharing, and tear jerking experience na medyo joke time i-kwento, I would like to thank all of you for all your support. I have seen SFC work so hard many times, but not as dedicated as and more self-sacrificing than the past 2 months preparing for the mall evangelization. We couldn’t have pulled it off without all of you.
Now let’s talk about God’s hand over the event. Kakaloka! Bongga talaga si Lord!
First, God brought our sector together. I can’t even recall the time when I used to say "Taga South-A ako." Now it is only "Taga South ako." I say it with more conviction and joy because my sector has accomplished something big - together. Wala ng South A at wala ng South B, big south na! And you know what they say the more, the manier… este merrier.
Second, God intervened in the show! In other words, nakialam si Papa God sa program flow! If you do not know the program by heart, then good for you because at least you’ve been spared the tension last Saturday. But for us who’ve thought about the order of things to come out on that stage for how many months, well… ibang stress level. Let’s just say things didn’t go as WE planned it but the show became the best it can be. Again, our ways are neither His ways nor our thoughts His thoughts. Galing talaga ni Lord, after all, it was His show.
Third, God was the real celebrity. I was sharing this story to our heads that I think we’ve evangelized even the stars. The Lord has touched them one way or another, through you guys! Let me make things brief by sharing to you what each artist said to me (some I quote directly):
Paulo Nav of the Akafellas: He texted me this, "It is such a great thing what you’re doing here... Thanks for everything! Awesome job! Praise God indeed." And I think we can invite Pau to join SFC. FYI, he used to be YFC and taga South rin siya. Hehe. Help me win him over and the rest of the fellas to the SFC light!
Nyoy Volante: Need I say more? I just asked this guy to share something about his X-Factor experience and he surprised me with such inspiring words and a song that brought me to tears. His sister, Nyay, and I were talking backstage and she told me that Nyoy really loves the SFC crowd. In summary, Nyoy would like to extend this message to all of us - "Thank you… we’re very grateful. It was a great honor to be part of your event... asahan mo basta libre kami, we’ll be there for you guys. God bless."
Aicelle and Maricris: Such nice girls. They told me they enjoyed the game / contest and really saw how we handled things so well. Both of them also said that SFC’s doing a great job being witnesses to the love of God.
Nina: Nina wants to do some outreach work so they asked me to let them know of our Gawad Kalinga activities. Nina’s sister, Dew Anne, told me that they’re interested in joining SFC. They live in Cubao so please let me know who to endorse them to. They also want Nina’s pamangkin to join Kids for Christ. As per their inquiries I quote "Text me about SFC and KFC ah."
Makisig Morales: What an empowered young being! It was so cute to see him praying over and over with his dad, Tito Jong, and Kuya Marc Sebastian. Holding his cold hand, I asked him if he’s nervous and he honestly said yes. But my goodness, going up on that stage, he embodied awesomeness. After his first song, Makisig went backstage and yelled "Praise the Lord!"
Finally, God and His Miracles. Just want to share also that right after our event last Saturday, I opened my inbox and found a letter from my aunt in the U.S. She had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has been having her chemo for months now. And guess what... after her last CT-Scan she is now CANCER FREE. I could not ask for a better gift from the Lord.
Again, I honor each and every one of you for supporting the X-factor event. This is only the beginning of great things. Praise God for all of you. Love you all!
APIR!!!
Chorva love,
Pabsy
